Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win received UNICEF Deputy Resident Representative to Myanmar Ms Alessandra Dentice and a delegation of regional health and nutrition experts at the Ministry of Health yesterday.
They discussed matters relating to UNICEF’s cooperation in Mocha-hit areas, speedy expansion of regular vaccination measures, including catch-up vaccination activities to increase immunization coverage nationwide, the implementation of nutrition development promotion activities, including school feeding programmes for children’s nutritional development and strengthening healthcare cooperation between the Ministry of Health and UNICEF.
The meeting was attended by the deputy minister, the director-general of the Public Health Department, the deputy permanent secretary and officials. — MNA/TS
