Nay Pyi Taw, 14 Dec — Union Minister for Agriculture and Irrigation U Myint Hlaing and song composers of Myanmar Music Association (central) discussed scrutiny of songs for the song contest in honour of farmers at the 900-organic vegetable farm in Ottarathiri Township on Sunday morning.
They viewed thriving vegetable and seasonal crops plantations. The union minister presented fruits from the plantations to musicians.
The union minister viewed progress of Vegetables and Fruit Modern Cold Storage  project and gave instructions on timely completion of the project to be able to store quality seeds.
He met staff of Industrial Crops Development Department from regions and states at Shwedaung-8 long staple cotton farm and instructed them to try hard to develop the agriculture sector.
At Soil Complex Micro Organism Test Field, the union minister viewed thriving research plantations being jointly cultivated by Korean agriculturists.—MNA
