Union Attorney-General receives Ambassador of Britain, UNDP Res Rep separately

Union Attorney-General U Tun Tun Oo received separately the Ambassador of Britain to Myanmar Mr Daniel Patrick Chugg and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Resident Representative (Res Rep) Mr Peter Batchelor in the meeting hall of the Union Attorney-General’s office in Nay Pyi Taw, yesterday morning.

During the meeting with the Ambassador of Britain matters relating to duties and responsibilities of Union Attorney-General Office, projects on rule of law and justice conducted by the office, cooperating with relevant prosecuting entities in cases relating to Anti-Money Laundering Law, the office participating and cooperating with Financial Action Task Force (FATF) on Money Laundering and Asia/Pacific Group (APG) on Money Laundering and cooperation with relevant organizations and departments in preventing and eradicating transnational crimes were discussed.
In the meeting with UNDP Res Rep cooperation between UNDP and Union Attorney-General Office, successes achieved in this cooperation, future cooperation and training of law officers were discussed.—MNA (Translated by Zaw Min)
