UNION Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Ye Aung received Vice Chairman of Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs of Viet Nam Vice Minister Mr. Dinh Que Hai and party at his office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
During the call the two representatives held discussions on the ministry’s border region development undertakings including human resources development programmes for ethnic people in border areas and exchange of culture and tradition of ethnic people between the two countries.
Also present at the call were Deputy Border Affairs Minister Maj-Gen Than Htut, the permanent secretary of the ministry and officials. In the evening, the Union minister hosted a dinner in honour of the Vietnamese delegation.
