Union Chief Justice U Htun Htun Oo attended the 17th Conference of the Chief Justices of Asia and Pacific held in Tokyo, Japan from 19 to 21 September.
The conference was attended by Asia and Pacific region chief justices and representatives and matters relating to progress of regional judiciary works, increasing trust of the people in judiciary works, increasing the capacity of the judiciary, judiciary sector in family disagreement, human resources development and role of chief justices in future judiciary sector were discussed.
The Union Chief Justice discussed Myanmar’s efforts for human resources development in the
judiciary sector.
During the trip, the Union Chief Justice met separately with Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Japan The Hon. Itsuro Terada and Japan Minister of Justice H.E. Yoko Kamikawa and discussed current and continued cooperation in judiciary was discussed. — Myanmar News Agency
