Union Construction Minister receives Indian Ambassador

The Indian Envoy to Myanmar calls on the MoC Union Minister yesterday.

U Shwe Lay, Union Minister for Construction, received Mr Vinay Kumar, Ambassador of the Republic of India to Myanmar, at the Ministry of Construction in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
At the meeting, both sides frankly exchanged views on procedures of further implementation for the development of the Myanmar-India road transport sector, upgrading of the Yargyi-Kalewa Road section to a two-lane road, rehabilitation of the Paletwa-Zorampur Road, plans for the maintenance and 69 bridges under construction on the Kalewa-Kyigon-Tamu Road, matters related to the construction of an Integrated Check Post in Tamu on the Myanmar-India border and the creation of job opportunities, it is learnt. — MNA
