Union Education Minister heads for ASEAN Education Ministers’ meetings

Union Minister for Education, Dr Nyunt Pe led a delegation that departed Yangon yesterday morning by air to attend the 13th ASEAN Education Ministers’ Meeting, the seventh ASEAN Plus Three Education Ministers’ Meeting, and the seventh East Asia Education Ministers’ Summit in Buriram, Thailand on 25 and 26 August.
The deputy director-general of the Department of Monitoring and Evaluation and the deputy director-general of the Department of Higher Education accompanied the Union minister.
The meetings will be held under the theme “Transforming Education in the Digital Age” and will be hosted by Thailand. Education ministers and senior officials from ASEAN member countries and participating countries will gather to discuss and exchange views on educational developments. — MNA/KZL
