Union Health Minister looks into YGH, extended building of Pathein General Hospital

Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win meets trainees of Nursing and Midwifery Training School in Pathein on 9 July.

Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win inspected the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, Yangon General Hospital and cordially met the coronary surgery patients on 8 July.
There were 156 coronary heart surgeries at the hospital from 2021 to till June 2022.
On 9 July, the Union Minister and party met with officials of Ayeyawady Region Public Health Department, the nine-storey extended building project of Pathein General Hospital and building task force-5 at the hospital’s meeting hall together with the Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister and highlighted the needs to conduct systematic settlement for the patients at new and old hospital buildings and the effective healthcare services.
The officials then inspected the nine-storey extended building construction site, and the departments of Pathein General Hospital including installation of CT and MRI at Radiology Department.
They also went to Nursing and Midwifery Training School (Pathein) and met with the trainees and then looked into the skill lab and library.
They also held discussions with officials of Ayeyawady Region Public Health Department, Medical Services Department, Department of Human Resources for Health and Department of Food and Drugs Administration at region Public Health and Medical Services Department. They cordially met the trainees of Public Health Supervisor Grade -2 training.
At Maubin General Hospital, the Union Minister talked about the efforts of ministry to develop the human resource for health and provision of medicines, machines and labour for the hospital.—MNA
