Union Minister for Information Dr Pe Myint visited the Myanma Radio and Television to look into its ongoing works and safety measures of staff members against the COVID-19 pandemic. During the coordination meeting, the Union Minister made an opening remark for the staff to work together to overcome difficulties in ordinary works and in their duties not to be infected by the viral disease.
U Ye Naing, Director-General of MRTV, briefed on duty rosters of employees, 21-days quarantine for the staff members after they arrived back from leaves, awareness programmes, the visit of COVID-19 inspection team, information and educational programmes and covering Hluttaw meetings.
Permanent Secretary U Myo Myint Maung and officials then discussed the works of minister office and relevant departments.
The Union Minister also viewed preparatory measures of MRTV ahead of 2020 General Election, and the ‘Electoral Knowledge Programme’.
The Union Minister and party then looked around the process of pre-productions, post-productions and disinfections at the Studio Hall.—MNA (Translated by Aung Khin)
