Union Information Minister greets National Literary Award winners for 2022

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn met the National Lifetime Awards for Literary Achievement recipients and the National Literary Awards winners for 2022 yesterday.
The Union minister inspected the annual National Literary Awards arrangements, overseeing everything from venue preparations to installing LED boards at the Plenary Hall of the Myanmar International Convention Centre II (MICC-II) in Nay Pyi Taw.
Later in the evening, he convened with the 2022 award laureates, alongside Deputy Minister for Information U Ye Tint, dignitaries, literary luminaries, and members of the award committee at the Hsinbyushin Guesthouse.
He informed them that this year’s ceremony would be elevated nationally, boasting enhanced programmes compared to the previous year. The event will feature dedicated literary segments for both fiction and non-fiction. Recipients of the Lifetime Awards will be entitled to complimentary treatment at the Military Hospital. The guesthouse is equipped with an onsite clinic to facilitate medical checkups and address urgent health concerns. Additionally, a visit to pay homage at the Maravijaya Buddha Image stands prepared for the literary luminaries, should they wish to partake.
