Union Minister Dr Myint Htwe receives cash donation for COVID-19 measures

A donation ceremony for measures against COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment was held at the Ministry of Health and Sports yesterday afternoon. Firstly, Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr Aung Thu, Union Minister for International Cooperation U Kyaw Tin and Union Minister for Planning, Finance and Industry U Soe Win explained the reasons of donations.
Union Minister Dr Myint Htwe said that such donations can be used not only for the patients during COVID-19 pandemic and also will be a supportive pillar for the healthcare system in the long run.
He also thanked the Ministry of Planning, Finance and Industry for supporting financial resources to use in COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment activities and the Ministry of International Cooperation for its support in establishing connection with international countries for aids.
Then, the Union Minister Dr Aung Thu donated K87.5 million on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation while K8.5 million by Union Minister U Kyaw Tin on behalf of Theitpan Chun civil society organization and K3 million by Union Minister U Soe Win, his wife Daw Mar Mar Swe, son U Aung Khine+Daw Hnin Hnin Yi, U Soe Tun + Daw Mya Kyay Mone, Dr Min Htin+ Dr Thazin Win and U Aye Cho + Pyae families.
