Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Win Myat Aye gave lecture at international relations capacity building course held at Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Zabuthiri Hall yesterday afternoon.
At the capacity building course, the Union Minister gave lecture on the works of Committee for Implementation of the Recommendations on Rakhine State, implementation of 87 out 88 recommendations made by Advisory Commission on Rakhine State, recommendations being included under 18 main sectors, difficulties faced by ministries in implementing sector wise recommendations on the ground, challenges and future works.
Next, Deputy Minister U Soe Aung lectured on works conducted by Union Enterprise for Humanitarian Assistance, Resettlement and Development (UEHRD) in Rakhine State; committee’s organisation works on development in Rakhine State, status of the opened accounts; works conducted in cooperation with Bangladesh and United Nations agencies on accepting returnees; cooperation by ASEAN and regional countries on Rakhine State development; preparations made for resettlement; challenges and difficulties faced and future work processes.
Afterwards, questions raised by Hluttaw representatives were answered by the Union Minister and officials.
