Union Minister meets KSEZ Management Committee in Nay Pyi Taw

Dr Pwint Hsan, Union Minister for Commerce, received Chairman U Myint Thein of Management Committee of Kyaukpyu Special Economic Zone (KSEZ) and party at the meeting hall of the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
At the meeting, the chairman and officials reported on the current progress of the KSEZ and its future plans.
The Union minister pointed out the need to conduct with care of the implementation of the agreement on Kyaukpyu Deep-Sea Port’s project and carry out Social Impact Assessment (SIA).
The Union minister urged them to emphasize not harming the local people’s interests, raising the living standards, getting the tax for the State, and avoiding losses. He also affirmed that the Ministry would provide necessary assistance in order to undertake the project successfully.—MNA
