Union Minister meets MoFA staff in Yangon

Union Minister U Than Swe of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs delivered the speech at the meeting with the staff from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Yangon), which was held at the Wun Zin Min Yazar Hall, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Yangon) at 1 pm on 24 February 2023. Union Minister for International Cooperation U Ko Ko Hlaing, U Chan Aye, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the director-general, deputy director-general of the Strategic Studies and Training Department, officials and staff from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Union Minister U Than Swe mentioned that some officials and staff from the Strategic Studies and Training Department and other individual departments must be necessary to be dutiful to their respective departments and the ministry. Furthermore, he stated that it is needed not only to be full quality to build their working environment but also to learn hard work of office duties, as well. He also insisted that it is vitally important that officials and staff must be loyal to their nation as well as civil servants must be more effective in their work and always seriously consider their duties. Furthermore, they need to consult each other for a pleasant working environment and they must be working together in order to promote the dignity of the ministry.
Moreover, he urged that all of the Government staff must avoid party politics and definitely follow the Government rules and regulations. He also addressed that, due to the nature of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, foreign service staff are essential to understand the political development of Myanmar and they have to explain clearly the current political situation of Myanmar to the international arena. The meeting was concluded in the afternoon.
Afterwards, Union Minister U Than Swe and Union Minister U Ko Ko Hlaing met and discussed with the chairman of the Executive Board, members of the Senior Advisory Board and the Executive Board of the Myanmar Institute of Strategic and International Studies (MISIS) in the meeting room of the Myanmar Institute of Strategic and International Studies (MISIS) office at No 37, Than Ta Man Street, Annexe Building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Yangon) at 2 pm.
During the meeting, Union Ministers clarified the position and policy of the government and explained the implementations of the ministries and the plans to be carried out in the future as well.
The chairman of the Executive Board, members of the Senior Advisory Board and the Executive Board, U Chan Aye, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were present at the meeting.—MNA
