Union Minister U Aung Naing Oo meets Mon State Investment Committee members

The MIFER Union Minister chairs the meeting with Mon State Administration Council members and Investment Committee members yesterday.

Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, Vice-Chairman of Myanmar Investment Commission U Aung Naing Oo, presided over a meeting with Mon State Administration Council members and Mon State Investment Committee members in Mawlamyine yesterday.
During the meeting, the Union Minister discussed the granting permits for investment under Myanmar Investment Law, Rules and procedures, quick implementation processes and the plans to finalize the proposals during the fixed period.
The Union Minister also said the committee should draft the investment policies based on the five-point roadmap and nine objectives of the SAC. It should also set investment priorities in order to improve the agriculture sector, renewable energy sector, SMEs.
The relevant departments are urged to cooperate to facilitate the local production and services sectors. Then, the Mon State Administration Council/ Investment Committee explained the investment-related matters in Mon State and suspended operations out of the ones permitted by the MIC and state investment committee.
The Union Minister also inspected the Mon State Directorate of Investment and Company Administration Office and met the staff. — MNA
