Union Minister U Ko Ko pays homage to Shwedagon, Gabar Aye pagodas

MoRAC minister seen meeting with the Board of Trustees members of Shwedagon Pagoda yesterday.

Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture paid homage to Shwedagon Pagoda and Gabar Aye Pagoda and donated flowers, water and gold robes to the pagodas yesterday in Yangon.
During the visit to the pagodas, the Union Minister instructed officials to comply with the COVID-19 health guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Sports for the people can pay homage to the pagoda as well as to carry out pagoda renovation and religious activities according to the instructions of the revered Sayadaws and financial regulations of the pagoda trustees.
The Union Minister also added it is necessary to systematically carry out the security and disaster prevention activities for the pagodas.—MNA
