Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin and Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Soe Win enjoyed the competition No 5 of radio quiz on population and housing census and filming of kid-friendly game show at MRTV in Tatkon, Nay Pyi Taw yesterday evening.
First, they inspected the work processes at Convergence News Room, MRTV HD, MRTV News and the News Studio of MRTV and warmly greeted the staff.
During the inspection, they observed the maintenance work conducted on the floor, wall and concrete road of MRTV’s main building, which was hit by the Thabeikkyin earthquake in 2019.
Then, they enjoyed competition No 5 of the radio quiz on the population and housing census 2024, in which five students from basic education high schools of Nay Pyi Taw participated.
Ministry of Immigration and Population, Ministry of Information, MRTV and, Ministry of Education, Basic Education Department jointly organize Radio quizzes under five programmes, and the first and second winners from each competition, totalling ten members, will compete in the matches to be held in the second week of August.
On arrival at the Auditorium, MRTV’s Director-General U Ye Naing briefed the Union Minister on the MRTV Auditorium on stage height and capacity to hold the 25th Silver Jubilee of Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition.
The MRTV Auditorium is 48 feet in length, 45 feet in width and three feet and four inches high and is installed with a sound system, lighting bar, setting bar, main curtain, side tab, intermediate curtain and elevator stage, and it can accommodate 457 people.
They then watched the kid-friendly game show and gave gifts to the children who participated in the show.
The programme was broadcast by MRTV every Saturday from 1997 to 2019 and was suspended during the outbreak of COVID-19. The programme is resumed every Saturday starting from 20 July.
The Union ministers and party observed the displayed materials at the 75-anniversary museum of MRTV together with children, parents and teachers from kindergarten. — MNA/KTZH
