Union Ministers, Mandalay Region Chief Minister meet business people, artistes from literary, film, theatrical and music fields in Mandalay

The meeting between Union Ministers and Mandalay Region Chief Minister and businesspersons and artistes is in progress yesterday in Mandalay.

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, Union Minister for Commerce U Aung Naing Oo and Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung cordially met business people and artistes from the fields of literary, film, theatre and music at City Hall yesterday.
First, the Union Information Minister talked about the intention of meeting and discussed the current political situation, peace and tranquillity, rule of law, socioeconomic development, the prosperity of the region, public participation and further cooperation works of officials and people.
Then, the Union Commerce Minister highlighted the recession in international countries, strenuous efforts not to face collapse from the economic sector, prevention of trade deficit, proper plans for imports and exports and supportive measures for MSMEs.
The Mandalay Region Chief Minister also stressed the systematic measures of the government as per the theme “Keep Moving Forward to Achieve Our Goal”, and pledged to make efforts to ensure the development of the region on behalf of business people and artistes from the fields of literature, film, theatre and music.
The participants also coordinated the discussion and the Union Ministers and party enjoyed tea together with them after the meeting.
In the evening, Union Information Minister U Maung Maung Ohn paid homage to 36 feet high Sitagu Sanchi pagoda constructed on 2.19 acres of land in Htonebo Village of PyinOoLwin and Sitagu Sayadaw Bhaddanta Nyanissara. During the visit, the Union minister provided the needed things regarding the umbrella hoisting ceremony to be held on 19 February. — MNA/KTZH
