Union SWRR Minister discusses children development issues

Dr Win Myat Aye, Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, held a meeting with a delegation led by UNICEF Education Associate Director Mr Robert Jenkins, at his office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
During the meeting, they discussed arrangements for education and development of children of the families of IDPs, and children in conflict areas.
They also discussed matters relating to the ministry’s works on nurturing early childhood development, further tasks to be implemented by the government for protection and development of children, and implementation of Maternal and Child Cash Transfer (MCCT) programme.
In addition, their meeting also focused on education programmes for the disabled, early childhood intervention (ECI) services, and cooperation with UNICEF.—MNA (Translated by Kyaw Zin Tun)
