A delegation led by United Nations Secretary General’s Special Envoy on Myanmar Mrs Christine Schraner Burgener who already arrived in Sittway met with Rakhine State Chief Minister U Nyi Pu, Deputy Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement U Soe Aung and State Ministers at Rakhine State Government Office in Sittway yesterday.
During the meeting, they discussed social economic developmental issues and current conditions of Rakhine State were discussed.
Afterwards, Mrs Christine Schraner Burgener and delegation visited Inernally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp in Thetkel Pyin Village and met with displaced people in the camp and observed the health condition of the villagers and students studying in the classrooms in No 10 Basic Education High School in Thetkel Pyin Village.
