Variety Show for Diamond Jubilee Independence Day continues its fifth day

The fifth day of the variety show marking Diamond Jubilee Independence Day 2023 continued at the open-air theatre of Nay Pyi Taw City Hall yesterday evening.
Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko, deputy ministers, officials from Union-level organizations, military officers and wives, staff and families, and people watched the show.
Artistes from the Department of Fine Arts under the MoRAC presented the play “Athet Htet Myat Thaw Gon Thake Kha” (Dignity nobler than Life), based on the true history and scripted by U Nan Nyunt Swe (Mandalay).
It has been planned to perform the play to the public at the National Theatre in Yangon in 2023, it is learnt.
After the performance, MoI and MoRAC officials honoured artistes from the Department of Fine Arts under the MoRAC with basket of flowers and cash awards. — MNA
