Vice President U Henry Van Thio attends pre-Christmas prayer and dinner

Vice President U Henry Van Thio and wife Dr. Shwe Hlwan attended a pre-Christmas prayer and dinner ceremony yesterday evening at the Myanmar International Convention Centre-2 (MICC-2) in Nay Pyi Taw.
The ceremony was jointly organised by Christian churches in Myanmar and the event was also attended by Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker Mahn Win Khaing Than and wife Daw Nant Kyin Kyi, Union Election Commission Chairman U Hla Thein, Pyithu Hluttaw Deputy Speaker U T Khun Myat and wife, Amyotha Hluttaw Deputy Speaker U Aye Tha Aung and wife, Union Ministers and their wives, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman and wife, Union Attorney-General and wife, Christian churches and special invited guests.
At the ceremony, reverend Dr. Yan Kho Paung made an initial prayer followed by Mahn John Sein Shi and Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture Thura U Aung Ko delivering a Christmas greeting speeches.
Religious clergy in attendance then recited prayers, read the Bible, and delivered speeches of thanks. Attendees to the ceremony then sang hymns together.
After the prayer ceremony, Vice President U Henry Van Thio and wife took a commemorative group photo, then shared dinner with the congregation.
