Vice President U Henry Van Thio returns from UNGA

After attending the 72nd United Nations General Assembly in New York Vice President U Henry Van Thio and party left New York John F Kennedy International Airport by Korea Airlines on 24 September 2 p.m. local standard time and landed at Seoul, Republic of Korea (ROK) on 25 September 5:20 p.m. local standard time.
The Vice President and party were welcomed by Myanmar Ambassador to ROK Thura U Thet Oo Maung and Embassy staff at Incheon International Airport.
The Vice President and party then departed by Korea Airlines at local standard time 6:45 p.m. and arrived in Yangon later in the evening. The Vice President and party were welcomed by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Phyo Min Thein, Yangon Mayor U Maung Maung Soe, US Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission Mr. George Neil Sibley and UN Resident Coordinator Ms Renata Nicola at Yangon International Airport.
During the trip, the Vice President delivered a speech at the 72nd United Nations General Assembly opening ceremony held at United Nations Headquarters in New York on 20 September.
The Vice President also met with staff and family members of the Myanmar Permanent Mission to the UN at the residence of the Permanent Representatives. —Myanmar News Agency
