Nay Pyi Taw, 27 Nov—Vice President U Nyan Tun on Thursday met Mr. Nikolay Patrushev, Secretary of Security Council of the Russian Federation at the Presidential Palace here to discuss promoting relations between the two nations.
They also discussed preventing and combating both conventional and unconventional threats to national security.
Also present at the call were deputy ministers Brig-Gen Kyaw Zan Myint, Commodore Aung Thaw and U Thant Kyaw. Mr. Nikolay Patrushev was accompanied by the Russian Ambassador to Myanmar.
In the evening, U Nyan Tun enjoyed cultural entertainment program to mark Myanmar’s Chairmanship of ASEAN-2014 at Myanmar International Convention Centre-2 in Nay Pyi Taw in the evening.
