Vice-Senior General meets with Indian Army Chief of Army Staff

Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win and party who are in India on an official visit went to India Gate on the morning of 18 September to lay a wreath at Amar Jawan Jyoti, the Flame of the Immortal Soldier, and signed the visitors’ book.
Next, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services arrived at Republic of India Ministry of Defence South Block Lawns to receive the salute of the Guard of Honor and then inspected the Guard of Honor.
Afterwards, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services met with General Bipin Rawat, UYSM, AVSM, YSM, SM, VSM, ADC Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army at the Chief of Army Staff Office and discussed widely on border security, stability, increasing relations between the two armed forces and increasing cooperation.
Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and party then went on to meet with Vice Chief of Naval Staff of the Indian Navy, Vice Admiral Ajit Kumar P, AVSM, VSM and discussed for mutual benefit matters conducted between the two navies, and cooperating in the best possible way towards the security of Indian Ocean.
In the early evening, the Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation met with Republic of India Minister of Defence Mrs. Nirmala Sithraman at South Block and discussed and exchanged views on status of cooperation and relations based on mutual friendship and respect between the two armed forces, increasing the relations and cooperation between the two armed forces in the future as well as stability and security of the border region, foreign policy of Myanmar and defence policy of Tatmadaw.
Later in the evening, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services met with staff and families of Myanmar military attaché (army, navy, air) office and seven (Tatmadaw) officers attending courses in New Delhi at the hotel.
After the meeting, the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services arrived at Army Battle Honours Mess and attended the official
dinner hosted by Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army General Bipin Rawat and wife, according to the news released by the Commander-in-Chief Office. — MNA
