Local visitors and tourists are thronging to the viewpoint in Kawthoung town, which offers a scenic view of neighboring Thailand across the Pachan River.
The viewpoint is becoming a popular spot among tourists for clicking photographs. It is usually crowded with picnic goers and fitness enthusiasts.
The viewpoint was built under the supervision of the Township Development Affairs Committee.
The point has beautiful decorations along with KAW THAUNG art boards.
Some revenue from the Thailand-Myanmar border pass fee collected in the 2017-2018 financial year was used in the upkeep of flowering plants at the viewpoint.
Local residents also contributed in the beautification effort. The viewpoint is popular among holidaymakers and locals as a place to relax. People can also be seen exercising here in the mornings and evenings.
