Village-level poverty alleviation model project under implementation in Tatkon Township

Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe inspected the implementation of village-level poverty alleviation model project developed in Chanayetha Model Village in Tatkon Township yesterday.
The project was jointly implemented by the Department of Rural Development and IPRCC (International Poverty Reduction Centre) of China.
The pilot project was being carried out with the financial assistance of China (from 2018-2021) to develop the socio-economic status and living standard of the residents in Chanayetha Model Village of Tatkon Township and Minpyin Village of Lawe Township in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area. The project can bring a system to improve the ability for poverty reduction and village social status growth. The system will be an ideal poverty reduction project not only in Myanmar but also in ASEAN region countries.
The Union Minister then met the executive members of Seinpannwe Agriculture (2) general business cooperative society in Nweyit Village of Tatkon Township and instructed officials to make efforts to improve the agriculture and livestock sectors and fulfill the needs of society members.—MNA
