The We Love Yangon charity organization received K200 million fund through KBZPay during COVID-19 period, said U Ah Yay Kyo, the vice-chairman of We Love Yangon team.
The charity organization on behalf of the donors handed over these funding to those places which require aid.

Later, we have donated the fund to poor or low-income families from the related townships. During the second wave, we have changed the whole system of the donation. We have taken necessary action to set up a COVID centre in Phaungyi. We have also assisted the COVID centre in Yoma, Aung Myint Moe, Hlaing. Then, we have donated K20 million worth of aid to Thanlyin hospital. The Fortune Plaza Centre was also organized by We Love Yangon,” said U Ah Yay Kyo.
Besides, our team also provided K50 million to access the lamp posts and upgrade the roads, according to We Love Yangon team.
Although we had difficulty having vehicles to donate things to the COVID centres and hospitals earlier, we are now allowed to rent the buses from YRTA, and home-used cars from the donors, he added.
However, around 30 or 50 volunteers from We Love Yangon are infected with the COVID-19 during the pandemic period, said U Zaw Win Khaing, the general secretary from We Love Yangon.
