Not only ordinary species of COVID-19 virus but new variant Omicron is spreading in the societies of global countries. International news shows global countries are taking restricted preventive measures against infection of the pandemic and new variant Omicron as much as possible.
Governments and people from those global countries are embracing frets in struggling with prevention, control and treatment activities of the pandemic and new variants. Till today, they are facing a high infection rate of the virus, leaving terrible casualties.
In Myanmar, the government is making utmost efforts for the prevention of Omicron variant in diagnosing those who return from foreign countries for various reasons, arranging them in the quarantine process and vaccinating the people to ease infection of the pandemic.
However, most people are still passing daily life with happiness. They keep themselves free from frets. They are going here and there without wearing masks and washing hands, neglecting the prescribed restrictions of the Ministry of Health for COVID-19, without fear.
Wearing masks and washing hands can protect themselves against the infection of the pandemic to some extent. If a person can protect himself, his behaviours will contribute to preventive measures of the family against the pandemic. If the whole family abides by the health guidelines for the COVID-19, it will help society be free from the infection of the pandemic. Consequently, disciplined practices of people in individuals and groups reflect the prevention, control and treatment activities of the authorities against the pandemic.
If so, all the people should not go out without firm reasons. They all need to comply with the restrictions related to prevention and control of the pandemic issued by the Ministry of Health at an opportune time. Even though they do not have any frets over the disease, they should carefully bear the mindset to follow the necessary disciplines related to the pandemic. Anybody should not oppose orders, announcements, notifications, directives and restrictions.

In fact, the exhortation to wear masks and wash hands is not related to politics. Such exhortation should be practised not only during the period of COVID-19 infection but also during the normalcy period. Such moves cannot bring disadvantages to the doers. These are basic needs of personal hygienic measures. So, anyone should not oppose the health restrictions related to COVID-19. Otherwise, they may face disadvantages.
