Well-wishers donate cash & kind for flood victims

The cash donation ceremony for the victims of floods triggered by Typhoon Yagi was organized at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Social Welfare Relief and Resettlement yesterday.
Union Minister Dr Soe Win received cash donations and gave certificates of honour after expressing gratitude.
At the event, Union Chief Justice U Tha Htay and the party donated K5 million, whereas K30 million from the Automotive Association of Myanmar and K11.5 million from Yangon Technological University civil students (1984), amounting to K46.5 million.
Similarly, the ministry donated 300 meal boxes for 300 flood victims in Pyinmana on behalf of Vice-Senior General Maung Aye (retired) and his wife Daw Mya Mya San. — MNA/KTZH
