Well-wishers and organizations from the People’s Republic of China donated medical supplies to Myanmar to help fight against COVID-19 on 4 May
Mr Xu Jianguo, Secretary General of China Foundation for Peace and Development, handed over the 5.3 million Yuan worth of 1,200,000 surgical masks, 3,600 personal protective equipment-PPE, 9,700 medical eye shields, and 800 non-contact infrared thermometers to U Myo Thant Pe, Ambassador of Myanmar, at the Myanmar Embassy in Beijing. The China Foundation’s Secretary General explained the purpose of the donation.
The Ambassador of Myanmar expressed words of thanks, and presented back certificate of honour to the Secretary General.
The donated items will be transported to Myanmar via Muse border gate.—MNA (Translated by Kyaw Zin Tun)
