A UK promotion workshop, including one-to-one business matching session, was jointly hosted by Mandalay Region Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MRCCI), the British Chamber of Commerce Myanmar (BCCM) and the Department of International Trade (Myanmar) (DIT), in order to share the information with local companies on the benefits of partnering with UK counterparts on 25 September.
The workshop highlighted the benefits of partnering with UK companies. Additionally, it is also to strengthen UK-Myanmar trade relations and developing a network of local companies in Mandalay and enhance the relationship among DIT, MRCCI and BCCM according to the British Chamber of Commerce Myanmar. This workshop aims to connect Myanmar companies with UK counterparts through one-to-one business matching session. Myanmar’s economy has been gradually growing reflecting a series of liberalization, investment facilitation and policy reform, said DIT Director Mr. Douglas Barnes.
British Chamber of Commerce Myanmar mentioned that only chemical free fishery and food products can be placed on the UK market.
One-to-one matching session was set for energy and advanced engineering, infrastructure, marketing and communications, education, and financial service.
Present at the workshop were chair and members of MRCCI and DIT Director Mr. Douglas Barnes and private businesspersons from various sectors.
