The workshop on Myanmar's agriproducts access to the Japanese market is in progress.

A workshop on Myanmar’s agriproducts access to the Japanese market was held yesterday in Nay Pyi Taw.
It was organized by the Myanmar Trade Promotion Organization of the Ministry of Commerce with the support of the ASEAN-Japan Centre.
Permanent Secretary U Min Min gave an opening speech and Dr Yuka Kubota, senior executive officer, on behalf of the secretary-general of the ASEAN-Japan Centre, greeted the workshop. The director-general and the director of the Myanmar Trade Promotion Organization explained the objectives of the project implementation and the holding of the workshop.
Officials discussed potential agricultural products to be exported to the Japanese market. They viewed the booths where eggs, ginger, traditional medicines, vegetables and sesame were displayed. Representatives who grow, produce and export agricultural products to the Japanese market then put forward their experiences and answered the questions raised by attendees. They also discussed the advantages and disadvantages of entering the Japanese market.—MNA/TS
