Yangon airport reopens Gate 4 of Terminal 3

Yangon International Airport (YIA) has reopened Terminal 3, Gate 4 which was temporarily closed during the construction work, according to an announcement of YIA.
The Terminal 3, Gate 4 has been temporarily closed starting from 4 August 2020 to extend the airport terminal arrival and departure gates for convenience of the domestic travellers.
During this period, the passengers must use Gates 1, 2 and 3 as the entrance gates. For the convenience of the airport users, Yangon Aerodrome Company Limited (YACL) is arranging for temporarily building up the roof between the car parking area and Terminal 3 Platforms, according to YACL.
If it is inconvenient for the flight users, the airport authorities have also announced to request the passengers to be patient and obey the health rules and regulations adopted by the airport authorities.
To be able to prevent the spreading of COVID-19 to the travellers via air route, the authorities have extended the suspension of scheduled international flights until 30 September 2020.
Although the airport authorities suspended the scheduled international flights in Terminal 1, the domestic flights are still operating regularly in Terminal 3.
As YACL prioritizes the health and safety of airport users, travellers, and staff while keeping the operational efficiency at YIA, airport authorities advise all to observe the health prevention measures at all times at the airport. — Zin Yaw Aye (Translated by Hay Mar)
