Yangon beat Yadanabon 2-0 in MNL 2nd Week match

Yangon United celebrated a 2-0 victory over Yadanabon FC in the 2nd Week of Myanmar National League 2022, at Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon yesterday.
In addition to winning the opening matches, the clash between Yadanabon and Yangon, which have been the main rivals since the beginning of MNL, was very competitive and Yangon took the advantage. Yangon won two games in a row and was happy with no goals conceded.
Yangon United lined up with Goal Keeper Phone Thitsar Min, Kyaw Min Oo, David Htan, Htet Phyo Wai, Zar Ni Htet, Min Kyaw Khant, Yan Paing Soe, Hein Zeyar Lin, Yan Kyaw Soe, Yan Naing Oo and Thiha Htet Aung.
Yadanabon started the line-up with Goal Keeper Paing Phyo Thu, Aung Wunna Soe, Zaw Ye Htun, Thet Hein Soe, Myo Ko Tun, Bi Bi, Thet Naing, Nyein Chan Soe, Thaing Bwe Aung, Ye Yint Aung, and Naung Naung Soe.
From the beginning of the match, both teams played attacking style and got equal chances to score goals. Yadanabon was unable to take advantage of the opportunity to score.
Yangon got the icebreaker near the first half end and the goal was beautifully scored by Htet Phyo Wai via a free kick.
In the second half, Yadanabon tried to score but Yangon made the second goal and David Htan scored in the 75th minute.
David Htan returned to his former club Yangon this season and scored in the second match.
After Week 2 of the Myanmar National League, defending champion Shan United and Yangon United got six points each and led the table while Yadanabon, ISPE, Hanthawady, Ayeyawady, Myawady, and Maha United collected three points each with one loss and one win.
