According to the Yangon City Development Committee, more signposts have been erected in the townships, urging the public to dispose of rubbish properly.
To prevent flooding caused by the indiscriminate disposal of rubbish, the committee has put up red signs stating, “Throwing rubbish into the drains will result in effective action”.
Additionally, blue signs with the message, “Dispose of rubbish properly to keep the city clean and beautiful and to ensure the good flow of water,” were also installed beneath the red signs on 7 July. — TWA/MKKS
