Yangon mayor inspects drainage system, greening programmes

Yangon Mayor U Bo Htay, Chairman of YCDC (Yangon City Development Committee) inspected the excavation work of drainage under old buildings for the construction of retaining wall for Bo Myat Tun river outlet conducted by the Engineering Department at No (351/361) Merchant Road in Botahtaung Township yesterday.
During the visit, the mayor and party instructed necessary things for good flows of water from water tank newly constructed near the Sule Pagoda and City Hall, the strength of water tank and garden greening and construction of 100,000 gallons of RC Ground Tank in Yangon City Hall compound conducted by the Engineering Department.
Then, the mayor joined the workshop on occupational safety held at the Yangon City Hall Room No (4) and discussed disruptive elements and the holding of weekly workshops on occupational safety.
Then, YCDC member U Aung Naing coordinated the discussion. — MNA
