A total of 49 cargo ships docked at Yangon Port in July, according to the Myanma Port Authority.

Export, import, cargo sector
In maritime trade, agricultural and livestock products, textiles and other products are exported via five jetties of Yangon Port and two jetties of Thilawa Port Terminal. The sea trade is conducted with two sectors — Import Cargo and Export Cargo, — and the Export Cargo is allowed after the inspection of the Customs Department with official documents of the Myanma Port Authority. In the Import Cargo sector, containers are piled up at a temporary yard and customers can withdraw them with the documents by paying taxes.

Convenience
In world trade, the maritime route is becoming more beneficial during the global pandemic as it is cheaper than other freight modes.
The government supports the export and import sectors facilitating container ships, sea trade, agricultural and livestock export/import and industrial zone export/import. — Nyein Thu(MNA)/GNLM
