Yangon United celebrated a 2-0 win over Myawady United in the opening match of the Myanmar National League 2022 season at the Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon yesterday.

Yangon team was able to put pressure from the beginning of the match and young striker La Min Htwe scored the opening goal in the 13th minute.
After conceding the goal, the Myawaddy team improved and made threats.
However, only Yangon scored another goal and new player Htet Phyo Wai, who joined the team at the beginning of this season, scored the second goal in the 37th minute.
In the second half, the Myawaddy team increased their attacking power to get equalizers but Yangon goalkeeper Phone Thitsa Min was able to defend.
