Yedashe farmers thrive on vegetable gardens

FARMERS in Yedashe Township, Bago Region are planting onions, beans and tomatoes along the Swa Creek, all of which are attracting high demand at the Swa Market.
“My income from this plantation not only covers our kitchen expenses but also allows us to save money. Instead of doing nothing during our leisure hours, we plant the crops beside the river,” said a local farmer.
“Growing the vegetables and crops on a manageable scale can not only reduce our purchasing requirements but also enable us to save some money,” he added.—Ko Lwin (Swar)
