YR Chief Minister Cup Karate Championship concludes

The Men’s Senior ‘Kutime’ event in action.

Yangon Region Chief Minister Cup Karate Championship was held at Padetha Sports Hall of South Okkalapa Township, and over 200 athletes participated yesterday.
Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, relevant officials and athletes attended the event.
During the final matches, men and women competed in the respective senior and junior categories of Kata and Kumite.
After the competitions, officials awarded the first, second, third and best athletes.
The region chief minister then presented cash prizes to athletes in men’s and women’s senior and junior categories of Kata and Kumite, and cash prizes and the championship trophy to ISPE, Yangon.
Karate events were held on 4 and 5 August, and over 230 Karatekas from 15 clubs competed. — Arkar Lin/KTZH
