Five media banned from publishing: MoI

Ministry of Information has banned five media agencies.

With the order No. 1/2021 yesterday, the ministry revoked the licences of the Mizzima, DVB, the Khit Thit Media, the Myanmar Now and the 7 Day starting yesterday.

In the order, the State Administration Council has granted the authority to the Ministry of Information in accordance with Article 419 and 420 of the Constitution.

The announcement of the Ministry of Information stated that the aforementioned media have been banned from publishing or broadcasting with the use of a kind of media or technology.—MNA
