The local dwellers from Myothit town, Magway district, are mainly engaged in the agriculture sector, growing paddy, sesame, corn, chilli and onion. The chilli growers are happy due to a bumper yield and good prices.
The chilli growers from Myothit township have been cultivating the land before growing chilli plants. About a month after growing, the plants are sprayed with herbicides. The chillies are being grown using agricultural methods.
After 15 days, the chillies are transplanted to the farmlands and it is needed to put the water into the farms every five days. The chilli can be picked up after two months of growing.
