MSME businesspersons need to emphasize exporting finished products

According to Vice-Senior General Soe Win, MSME businesspersons have to improve themselves from the status of importer to exporter.
Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win met MSME businesspersons, departmental officials and ethnics at Zwekabin Hall in Hpa-an of Kayin State yesterday morning.
Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-Senior General said that only when MSME produces finished products will relevant regions have food security and export surplus products to implement import-substitute plans.
He stressed that businesspersons need to be MSME members to be recognized as the MSME Businesspersons of the state. So they will have the chance to seek the necessary capital to expand their work establishments. He added that they will have loans from the MSME development fund and 16 private banks through collateral type.
He underscored that the government set basic cooking oil, rice and broken rice, cotton, rubber, tea, coffee, rattan, timber and bamboo as raw materials. Manufacturing finished products based on raw materials needs to be done under the One Region-One Product scheme to ensure local sufficiency and export products.
He noted that ten ministries are conducting 260 training courses for turning out skilled workers. Only when skilled workers are turned out can quality products be produced. If so, such products will have high demand. If the businesses do not have labour skills, products cannot penetrate the market.
The Vice-Senior General explained that rubber production is an advantage in Kayin State rather than in other states and regions. As rubber is used in producing various types of tyres across the nation and other personal goods, he added that it is necessary to strive to produce quality rubber.
He continued to say that businesspersons must contact ministries via MSME Agencies to fulfil market requirements. They have to introduce their products at the MSME exhibition and contest of regions and states on the 77th Anniversary of Union Day.
He highlighted that they need to contact the management committee of Thilawa Special Economic Zone to export their products depending on offers from abroad. Hence, they need to manufacture quality products by applying high technology. He noted that they have to know the different benefits between traditional and systematic cultivations to boost production.
He spotlighted that peace and stability are essential in relevant regions to boost the economy. So, the government always opens the door to peace while striving to forge peace and stability in the entire nation.
At the ceremony, the Vice-Senior General fulfilled the needs of MSME businesspersons.
