The Myanmar Association of Japan Alumni (MAJA) has announced that application forms for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT), scheduled for the first week of July, will be available starting on 29 February.
The exam will be conducted in Yangon and Mandalay, with a total of 40,000 online applications being accepted at all levels.
For online applications for Yangon and Mandalay, N1 and N2 levels will be accepted on 6, 7, and 15 March; N3 level on 11, 12, and 15 March; N4 level on 13, 14, and 19 March; and N5 level on 7, 8, and 18 March respectively.
The exam application fees are K50,000 for N1, N2, and N3, and K45,000 for N4 and N5. The application date won’t be announced in advance to avoid internet traffic congestion during online application submission. Applicants are encouraged to submit their applications online at their convenience.
Registrations must be completed via Google form between 19 and 23 February. Each training school will sell a maximum of 70 application forms.
As there are now more training schools, MAJA urges schools to apply for only the necessary number of application forms. Any remaining forms will be distributed to schools that require more than 70 forms. Application forms for the Yangon test centre will be sold from 29 February to 2 March, and for the Mandalay test centre from 29 February to 1 March. Application forms for novices, monks, nuns, and children under ten years old will be available from 4 to 6 March for all levels. — TWA/TMT
