Govt cracks down on currency speculation, illegal foreign exchange

The government is working towards the stability of the country and the rule of law. Security organizations have taken action against businesspeople engaged in speculation to hinder the country’s economic development. Additionally, some money changers who violated the rules and regulations set by the Central Bank of Myanmar to destabilize the country’s economy have also been targeted.
A total of 14 individuals, including unauthorized foreign exchange dealers and brokers, have been arrested and questioned for their involvement in destabilizing the foreign exchange market in the country.
Following interrogations, it was revealed that 11 businesspeople were orchestrating activities to destabilize the foreign exchange market. Law enforcement agencies have initiated investigations against them in accordance with the law. However, these individuals are currently evading interrogation and arrest. The fugitives are listed below.
