Indian Envoy to Myanmar calls on Health Union Minister

The MoH Union Minister receives the Indian Ambassador to Myanmar yesterday.

Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win received a delegation led by Ambassador of India to Myanmar Mr Vinay Kumar yesterday in Nay Pyi Taw.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed Myanmar-India health cooperation, the resumption of constructing a state-of-the-art hospital in Myanmar with the support of India, the issue of speeding up the import of medicines and medical supplies from India to Myanmar, opportunities for bilateral cooperation in health human resource development and medical research in Myanmar, sending health workers from Myanmar to provide advanced medical skills training, such as liver transplant surgery and kidney transplant surgery in India, cooperation with India to strengthen cancer treatment, and cooperation in the development of the traditional medicine sector.
They also had a cordial exchange of views on opportunities for Indian private investors to invest in Myanmar and the conditions under which they could support each other. — MNA
