Mani Mekhala magazine to mark 80th Anniversary of Disaster Management Department

The Mani Mekhala magazine will be published to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Disaster Management Department, according to the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement.
The 80-year commemoration magazine will be published in early March 2025 with the magazine’s features, colour photographs, historical records of the department, research and narrative about natural disaster reduction, domestic and foreign news, cartoons, stories and article manuscripts.
The publication of this magazine provides good information about natural disasters and preventive measures, preparation, emergency response and recovery issues. Manuscripts on topics such as climate change and adaptation are needed, and external authors must submit their manuscripts by 30 October to the Disaster Management Department (Nay Pyi Taw) under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement.
