MoI Union Minister inspects printing houses of PPD, Kyemon Daily of NPE

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn inspected the Aung San Printing Factory, GTC Printing Factory and Sarpay Beikman Printing Factory of Printing and Publishing Department in Insein Township and Kyemon of the News and Periodicals Enterprise at the corner of 52nd street and Maha Bandoola Road in Yangon yesterday.
During the visit to three printing factories, the Union Minister checked the printing of Myanmar, Morality and Civic, and PT subject textbooks for Grade 8. He then met with the officials at the meeting hall of GTC Printing Factory and stressed the need to distribute the school textbooks to the regions/states as quickly as possible as the Prime Minister emphasizes the education, producing quality prints, ensuring the strength of machines and invite to achieve proper techniques for the country and people.
He then inspected the editorial section, proofreading section, computer pool and administration/finance offices of Kyemon daily in the evening.
He also met the staff at the News and Periodicals Enterprise (head office) on Theinbyu street and highlighted the role of media in building a modern nation, active and creative MRTV programmes and the need to cover the true news and modern layouts in state-run newspapers for the people.
He then cordially greeted the staff. — MNA
