Renewal of MoU between Yangon University of Medicine 2 and Japan’s Niigata University signed

The University of Medicine 2 (Yangon) of the Ministry of Health and Niigata University of Japan inked a five-year memorandum of understanding (agreement for cooperation) extension yesterday in Nay Pyi Taw.
The signing ceremony was attended by Professor Dr Tin Tun, Director-General of the Human Resources Department for Health, the rector of Yangon University of Medicine 2, heads of departments from the Department of Human Resources for Health and Professor Reiko Saito from Niigata University, Division of International Health, and officials.
The director-general of the Department of Human Resources for Health gave an opening speech expressing his happiness over the previous cooperation between the two universities and the continued collaboration, and representatives of the two universities signed the agreement.
According to the memorandum of understanding, Yangon University of Medicine 2 and Niigata University will mainly cooperate in research activities, sending teaching staff and students to each other and continuing cooperation in educational discussions and other academic fields. — MNA/TS
